A minimal, fast, and flexible 2D game engine built on DullJS—our streamlined JavaScript—designed for rapid iteration and developer productivity. Prosperon’s reflective tools, text-based scene workflow, and interactive design environment help you get results fast.
Key Features
- Source-Control Friendly: Prosperon uses script-based scene data with relative paths—no unnecessary binary files until you ship.
- Composition Over Inheritance: If an object “looks” like a sprite, you can pass it as a sprite—no heavy class hierarchies. It’s all about flexible, dynamic code.
- Highly Reflective & Debug-Ready: Collect entity usage, memory consumption, and automatically generate docs.
- Gradual Performance Optimization: Prosperon picks the best path automatically, but offers varying functions for more control. We aim for for 240 FPS on modest hardware for most games.
- Fast 2D Rendering: Prosperon supports sprite based rendering, and includes a fun-to-work-with flexbox-style UI module

In the reflective, dynamic, prosperon way, the documentation site itself is built entirely with Prosperon and comes bundled within the engine. Think Emacs–style scripting.
Prosperon also comes with some example games to help you learn the ropes quickly.
